Gel Fuel Information

Gel fuel is designed for portable ventless (no chimney required) fireplaces. Lasting up to three hours, this gel fuel creates bright yellow, orange and red flame that crackles just like a wood fire. Best of all, gel fuel is an environmentally friendly, clean-burning product that does not leave behind any messy soot, smoke or ash.

Gel Fuel is made from isopropyl alcohol and thickeners to enhance stability. It is not liquid and will not break down.

Gel Fuel is regularly tested by numerous independent labs. Air quality results while burning gel fuel fall well below the standards established by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (O.S.H.A.) and the Environmental Protection Agency (E.P.A.).

When compared to cartridge style cans, one can of gel fuel costs a fraction of the more expensive cartridge style cans. One 12oz. can of gel fuel Burns for close to 3 hours @ 3000 BTUs for approximately $1.05 per hour.
